We built GetIn to help you skip lines and get paid to wait in them, not to collect more about you than we need. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how you stay in control.
Information we collect
We collect what you give us directly, your name, phone number, and email address when you create an account. If you receive payouts as a seller, we collect the information required by our payment processors and applicable federal regulations to facilitate those payments. We also collect your location while the app is open or running in the background; this allows us to show you active lines nearby and confirm that sellers are physically present at a venue. We additionally collect basic device and usage data necessary to keep the product functioning reliably.
How we use it
We use your information to match buyers and sellers, process payments, generate door codes, and send you notifications about swap requests and payout confirmations. Your location data is used to surface nearby venues and detect active lines. We do not sell your data.
Payments and Payouts
All payments are processed by Stripe. GetIn does not store your card details. Sellers who earn over $600 in a calendar year will receive a 1099-NEC as required by the IRS. Stripe collects the necessary tax information and identity verification directly during seller onboarding.
Data retention and Security
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the product. We use industry-standard safeguards to protect it, though no method of storage or transmission is ever completely secure.
Your Rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time by contacting us at the email below. You can also disable background location access at any time in your phone settings, though this will limit your ability to see nearby lines in real time.
